Bed Bath & Beyond Launches New Online Platform

The new Bed, Bath & Beyond e-commerce platform has been designed to enhance its consumer shopping experience online and integrate its 57 physical retail stores across New Zealand.

“Building a new e-commerce capability is an essential part of our growth strategy as we respond to changing customers’ browsing and purchasing habits, especially on mobile,” says Trevor Brown, CEO of Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Following the implementation of a full e-commerce solution by eStar, eStar’s tailored website design has been built around best practise customer experience, to create a more seamless omnichannel shopping experience. eStar says this includes integrating inventory across online and offline stores, integration to MailChimp and making it easier for online shoppers to find and purchase any item online.

The new website also features enhanced analytics, online catalogues and improved store locator, according to eStar. In addition, more options are now available to personalise the buying experience for Bed, Bath & Beyonds high-value customers, for example enclosing handwritten notes in deliveries.

The site is integrated with Harmony’s Point of Sale system to allow for automation of manual processes across products, pricing, stock availability and sales.

“We are excited about developing an e-commerce proposition which will integrate our online and physical stores, and encourage staff to maximise sales for their region,” adds Brown.

Products in home décor and furniture ‘Home Stores’, now have the entire range available online. Bed, Bath & Beyond staff accross all stores are now incentivised to sell the full range, ensuring that customers have maximum choice, anywhere in the country.

eStar says its scalable and secure e-commerce platform will allow Bed, Bath & Beyond to meet the needs of New Zealand customers, and also Australians who buy online and receive their purchase by international courier.
