Online payment services provider, PayPal, has set up a demonstration suite in its San Jose headquarters with a view to demonstrate the power of its in-store mobile payments technologies.
The recently completed Shopping Showcase is designed to sway major retailers that may be considering PayPal’s mobile payment services.
The demonstration space includes real looking facades to represent different types of shops, including a café, a hardware store, a grocery store and a clothing retailer.
The mix of faux businesses allows PayPal to show off a mixture of new technologies, offers and loyalty programs that are designed to expedite the payment process while engaging the consumer.
Currently, PayPal is one of the leading online payments companies, claiming 106 million users across the globe. This year, the eBay owned company is making a play at moving offline. The Shopping Showcase is integral to this gambit, as well as its partnership with the US department store giant, Home Depot.
