The Gourmet, recently launched by the AussieCommerce Group, aims to cater for foodies with quality meats and fresh produce at wholesale prices.
Continuing a heady period of growth for the company, the AussieCommerce Group has announced the launch of its latest brand, The Gourmet, which aims to be a destination website for foodies, offering premium meats and fresh produce at wholesale prices.
The Gourmet is just the latest in a string of online brands that AussieCommerce has either created or acquired in the past few years. The holding company encompasses brands such as Luxury Escapes, Pop, The Home, Ouffer, Cudo and Deals.com.au.
“We’re really excited to be launching The Gourmet,” said Adam Schwab, Managing Director of AussieCommerce. “It is the perfect addition to the AussieCommerce Group, giving our two million subscribers the opportunity to get premium quality produce and gourmet foods delivered straight to their door at unbeatable prices.”
The expansion follows a successful year for the group, with heavy growth of 276 percent being rewarded by recognition in BRW’s Fast 100 list. The team at AussieCommerce believe that 2014 will be even more prosperous.
During the last six months, the AussieCommerce Group has already generated a bigger turnover than during the entire Financial Year 2013 ($43 million) by achieving more than $60 million in sales, with a predicted turnover of $120 million for financial year 2014.
“We’re really excited about how the group performed and we exceeded every expectation in what was for many retailers a difficult period. To continue with more than 100 percent annual growth is a reflection of our remarkable team,” Schwab said.
And if there was any fear of the pace beginning to slow, Schwab quickly lays them aside, announcing another brand will be added come March this year.
“We have just launched The Gourmet, and are about to release a new brand in March to add to the group.”
