Cotton On Launch E-Commerce Store

Cotton On

Why reinvent the wheel? The Cotton On Group launches into the e-commerce space with an offering that is reminiscent of the hugely successful pure-player ASOS.

Australian favourite Cotton On has expanded its offering and launched its first foray into the e-commerce domain.

The site, which has elements reminiscent of online apparel extraordinaire ASOS, features all of the products carried in the offline stores from the company’s Cotton On and Rubi brands.

Cotton On’s Executive Marketing Manager, Marshal Mclean revealed to Ragtrader that the ‘e-store will also offer online exclusive ‘catwalk inspired’ designs, which will be refreshed on a weekly basis’.

As a special launch offer the site is offering free shipping Australia-wide until the start of August, thereafter the will be a flat rate of $10 for standard delivery.

Although Cotton On retails in several markets globally, McLean told Ragtrader that the ‘Cotton On Group will roll out e-commerce functions to cater to the US and Asia markets once the Australian site’s ‘back end’ functions have settled’.

Power Retail - ASOS vs Cotton On

Cotton On appears to take learnings from ASOS and apply these to its online offering.
