Reed Exhibitions Acquires Online Retailer Conference and E-commerce Expo

Breaking News: Reed Exhibitions has officially acquired the Online Retailer Conference and E-Commerce Expo, including the Roadshow. Our team at The Media Pad has been retained to continue content and conference management.
Reed Exhibitions, the world’s largest producer of trade and consumer exhibitions and conferences has acquired Online Retailer Conference and E-commerce Expo.
Since its inception in 2009, Online Retailer has grown to become the southern hemisphere’s largest e-commerce exhibition and conference, educating and informing Australian retailers to succeed within the digital space by delivering a highly practical and editorially driven program alongside the largest selection of innovative solution-led providers compiled and convened in Australia.
The new team at Online Retailer Conference and E-commerce Expo will be led by Andrew Jones, a 13 year veteran in the exhibition and retail industries. Founder Mark Harvey, who will continue as a consultant to Online Retailer says of the sale: “I have been working very closely with Andrew and the team for many months and I am very excited about what they will bring to this event. Reed’s experience in producing high quality successful business events will not only ensure greater success for Online Retailer but will strengthen the ability to deliver compelling rich learning content and innovative technologies not seen at any other event.”
The 2012 Event Manager Andrew Jones is supported by an experienced team including Christina Boje, Account Manager; Samantha Skrzpiec, Event Co-ordinator; and Alessia Campagna, Marketing Manager. “The new team is passionate and committed to continuing to deliver the industry’s premier digital retail education and business opportunity event, and also attract the very best speakers worldwide,” stated Andrew Jones. “And we look forward to continuing to partner with innovative companies across all retail and solutions sectors on joint promotions.”
Personally, I am also delighted to continue my and the Power Retail team’s involvement as Content and Conference Manager for all Online Retailer events, including the Roadshow approaching in March.
The Online Retailer Conference and E-commerce Expo is at the forefront of providing Australian retailers with global best practices in digital commerce, marketing and technology. Planning for the 2012 conference is well under way and the one-day touring conference, Online Retailer ROADSHOW, taking place in March in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney has also confirmed an inspiring agenda of industry leaders and the popular interactive round-table sessions will return this year.
