Last night, hosted its inaugural ‘Plugged In’ networking event, at trendy Sydney venue Bungalow 8.

The evening offered retailers an opportunity to let their hair down, share retail insights and hear live site reviews, presented by online retail specialist, Luke Hilton of Playhouse Digital.

A few familiar faces presented, including industry doyen Mark Harvey, Managing Director of National Media, Jethro Marks, CEO of The Nile, multiple ORIA Winner Michael Fox from Shoes of Prey, and Brigid Shute, MD of Epitome Media.

“We were rapt to see such a great turnout, with over 50 members of the online retail community turning out on a Wednesday night,” said Grant Arnott, Editor and Publisher of “We think it’s really important for these types of gatherings to occur frequently, and for the industry to become a tighter community. We’re really happy to see and hear that a lot of others feel the same way.

“Luke Hilton did a great job reviewing four different retail sites and outlining some best practice essentials – despite a dodgy internet connection at the venue. This is a great foundation for Power Retail and Plugged IN, and for building a stronger online retail community.”
