SurfStitch goes French

As reported in the E-Commerce Leaders’ Playbook, SurfStitch founders Justin Cameron and Lex Pedersen have identified European-based expansion as a major focus. The boys have now made good on their promise to expand operations into the European market.

“We’ve tried and tested this model in Australia, and have also been serving customers globally from the very beginning,” says Cameron. “With SurfStitch now also located in Europe, customers can expect an even stronger online retail experience – from a seamlessly designed and stunningly visual website, to SurfStitch’s industry leading shopping and delivery experience.”

The headquarters in scenic Hossegor on the Atlantic coast of south-west France include an 8,000 sqm warehouse and distribution facility. The site went live today with a special promotion, launching with 150 brands. Named Online Retailer of the Year for 2012, Surfstitch is targeting 500 brands online by 2013.
