SurfStitch to Roll Out Daily Deals with Mohobu

Pureplay surfwear retailer SurfStitch is set to launch its first members-only private sale club next week, called Mohobu.

Pureplay Online Retailer of the Year in 2011, SurfStitch is the latest big name in e-commerce to head down the private shopping club route, announcing the impending launch of its members only daily deals site, Mohobu. The private sale market is booming in multiple categories. The formula works as a great way to turn large quantities of slow-moving stock into cash quickly and discreetly, allowing retailers to protect their brands while still offering deep discounts on certain items behind a members-only log-in wall.

Mohobu launches next week, promising members up to 80 percent off major brands, with flat rate shipping. SurfStitch continues to roll out new initiatives and add to its more than 200 brands. Prior to Christmas, SurfStitch announced plans to take on Europe and establish a 6000 sqm distribution centre in France.
