Temando Joins Forces with Australia Post

Australia-based shipping software provider Temando has today announced it is partnering with Australia Post to help streamline access to its premium delivery services and provide intelligent, cost-effective shipping solutions to Australian retailers.

The partnership is significant as it will bring together these key shipping stakeholders to ultimately provide Australian businesses with a more comprehensive and streamlined logistics service. The partnership will give Temando access to a broader range of shipping options, while providing Australia Post with greater access to the lucrative and growing e-commerce shipping market.

The partnership will allow retailers, through Temando, to more easily access Australia Post and StarTrack services via their chosen e-commerce platforms. As a result, retailers will be able to offer their customers a range of Australia Post and StarTrack delivery options. Temando’s technology will also enable Australia Post’s business customers to provide online shoppers with enhanced tracking visibility.

Australia Post General Manager, Global eCommerce Platforms and Digital, Ben Franzi said the integration further cements Australia Post’s focus to become a trusted e-commerce solutions company.

“Joining forces with Temando bolsters our commitment to helping Australian businesses compete and succeed online. We’re proud to introduce an innovative solution that unlocks the potential of our combined services and offers retailers a competitive advantage in creating seamless, cost-effective delivery experiences for their customers,” he said.

CEO and co-founder of Temando, Carl Hartmann, said Australia Post’s customers now have the ability to use shipping as a powerful and smart retail tool.

“Temando empowers retailers of all sizes to convert shipping and fulfilment, a notoriously complex cost centre, into a retail weapon to be used in the battle for more sales and cost-efficient processes. Our technology will help Australia Post deliver on its promise to make it easier for businesses to sell online and for customers to receive, collect and return their online purchases.

“We will work together to adapt to the changing expectations of today’s consumers and offer solutions that provide choice, control and convenience.

“Retailers can now optimise their customers’ shopping experience with multiple delivery options that suit their busy lifestyles, easily manage free shipping promotions, and have the ability to create relevant experiences based on inventory availability, warehouse and store location and more,” he said.
