Today’s infographic explains the ins and outs of the most popular social network for business professionals, LinkedIn, which is fast approaching a decade since its inception.

LinkedIn was originally conceived by  co-founder Reid Hoffman in his living room in 2002. Since launching in May 2003, the social network targeted at business professionals has grown to more than 135 million members in over 200 countries.

As such, LinkedIn is the most mature of all the social networks in popular use today. It is older than the struggling MySpace and more successful Facebook by nearly a year. By May next year, LinkedIn will have existed for a whole decade.

This infographic provides the low-down on everything you need to know about the oldest social network service (SNS).
