LivingStyles Wins 2014 Australian Small Business Champions Award, an online retailer of furniture and homewares, has taken out the New Business category at the annual Australian Small Business Champion Awards, which was hosted at The Westin Sydney.

The Australian Small Business Champion Awards first began in 1999 as the NSW Small Business Champion of Champion Awards, which was successful in recognising the most outstanding businesses from around the state. In 2007, the program was expanded to include small businesses from all states and territories across Australia.

With 20 entrants in the New Business category of the awards, LivingStyles faced heavy competition to win the title. Having been founded by Max Fang and Peter Xie in October 2012, the company attracted 100,000 members in the first four months after launching, with that number swelling to 260,000 within the first 18 months.

The business model is members-based, offering renowned brands from local suppliers in daily-dealsm formats, as well as permanent sales. Currently, LivingStyles’ founders say they are processing an average of 2,500 orders every months, with a product range of 15,000 items.
