The Iconic Plans for 2020 Future Growth

In the last five years The Iconic says it has aimed is to redefine the Australian retail landscape and raise the bar in the way consumers shop for fashion. As part of this mission, the brand is planning for its next stage of growth with a strategy to scale over the coming years, and has announced its successful move to a new 19,000 sqm fulfilment centre in Yennora, NSW.

“As we prepare for the exciting years ahead we are pleased to have successfully relocated to a much larger and more sophisticated fulfilment centre to support the growth of our business through 2020 and beyond.” said Patrick Schmidt, chief executive of The Iconic.

“The Iconic is now five years old and growing faster than ever. We’ve expanded our team significantly, welcomed an influx of new customers shopping our site and app and have on-boarded so many beloved global and local brands that we’ve physically outgrown the warehouse space that saw us through our early years.”

The new fulfilment centre will be home to 700 brands and more than 45,000 different products, with The Iconic hoping to further push its boundaries in Australian retail, to create new experiences through investment in assortment, delivery, returns and technology innovation.

“Providing the best experience for our customers means we must continue to offer the best product assortment of fashion and sportswear for men and women. This considerably larger space ensures we have the capacity to keep up with demand for the latest styles our customers want, and also supports our commitment to offering industry defining delivery options to make online shopping joyful, convenient and seamless.”

The move to the new fulfilment centre site is a key part of the online retailer’s strategy to support business growth and be a major player in Australia’s online retail fashion industry.
