Buying flowers online is becoming a popular option for many Australians. Meet the online florist that does it best, FreshFlowers.com.au.

Having satisfied customers is one of the most important points to check off for any brand. For FreshFlowers.com.au, they’ve just been awarded as Australia’s Number One Online Florist by Canstar.

Canstar reviewed hundreds of florists online across Australia, ranking them based on customer satisfaction, product accuracy, delivery and value for money. FreshFlowers.com.au ranked five out of five stars for every single category, leaving them as the clear winner for customer satisfaction.

Buying flowers online has recently become the easiest way to purchase a bouquet for friends and loved ones. Online retailers often source local suppliers who produce fresh flowers, meaning the consumer has access to the flora within a few hours. However, unlike brick and mortar stores, sometimes the order you requested may not be available in their area, or may not look like the image supplied. Purchasing online also mean that retailers are less accountable for delivery problems. This aside, online shopping is one of the most trusted ways to purchase flowers. A survey by Canstar shows that 77 per cent of consumers would buy from an online florist again.

FreshFlowers.com.au is family-owned and has been in production since 1920. They offer delivery to all major Australian metro areas, including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. FreshFlowers.com.au beat out Interflora, The Flower Factory and Petals in Canstar’s survey; the only company to receive five out of five stars for overall customer satisfaction.

As FreshFlowers.com.au continues to grow, so does the presence of online florists. Canstar reports that, on average, ‘Australians spend AUD$82 on their online flower orders’, with ’51 per cent trying more than one online delivery service’. Purchasing online is the most convenient option for 49 per cent of the consumers, where 17 per cent used the delivery option as it offered the best deal. It’s not just flowers that consumers stick to when purchasing online, chocolates, wine and edible arrangements make up a large number of sales for online florists.

The convenience of ordering flowers online is the clear winner for consumers, as it allows them to deliver the flora to their door or to someone else’s, without hassle. However, as the items are perishable, it’s uncertain that the product that’s ordered will be the same quality as they see on the screen. With the future of online delivery changing at a rapid rate, will we see the rise of non-perishable flowers or a rise in drone deliveries? Only time will tell.
