Reigning Online Retailer of the Year Shoes of Prey is partnering with department store giant Nordstrom to bring its self-designed shoe concept to mainstream USA.
Following its successful ventures into the world of physical stores via David Jones and a new stand-alone store in Bondi Junction, Sydney, retail innovator Shoes of Prey is setting up to take on the US bricks and mortar retail world.
Partnering with Nordstrom, Shoes of Prey is rolling out six outlets in Nordstrom stores across the US. As per the company’s concept stores in Sydney, customers will have the opportunity to see stunning creations on display and design their own via the app in-store.
Already a great online success story, Shoes of Prey is rapidly becoming a multichannel star, winning a global retail award in 2013 for its David Jones Sydney store. It has been a meteoric rise for the Sydney-based business that launched its (then Flash-based) online shoe design tool in 2009. In five years, Shoes of Prey has built an impressive, fast-growing business that has already attracted the attention of local and international investors.

The first Shoes of Prey concession store opening for Nordstrom launches in Bellevue (near Seattle) on November 17.
