You told us you wanted a party, and apparently we know how to throw one! In its second year running, the best of the best in Australian e-commerce were honoured at Power Retail’s All Star Bash awards held in Melbourne.
Following the success of our All Star Bash event last year, Power Retail put on a bigger and better event at the Glasshouse in Melbourne on 23 February 2017. Blue summer skies provided the perfect backdrop for Australia’s most coveted online retail bash of the year.

This year’s All Star Bash brought together some 400-odd retail industry figures who celebrated the best and brightest that online retail has to offer, with plenty to trumpet about.
Tonight’s All Star Bash event exists not only to pay homage to those who have outperformed the industry, but also to launch The 2017 E-Commerce Leaders Playbook, which also recognises our top performing online retailers in Australia and New Zealand. Of course tonight’s Bash also gives all our online retailers an opportunity to let their hair down, bump shoulders with their fellow industry colleagues and have some awesome fun!

The past year has seen online retail grow rapidly. Trends have evolved, new tech has emerged and Australia’s online retailers have not only met the vastly changing consumer demands, but have led it.
“You represent the elite of this industry, the best of the best, the tip of the spear driving exceptional results and delivering world-beating e-commerce experiences to millions of online shoppers here and abroad,” said Power Retail Publisher Grant Arnott in his opening address.
“The people in this room tonight are largely responsible for the generation of $21.65 billion in online sales last calendar year, with 10.4% growth, and importantly, 81% of total spend is on domestic brands.”
Going with its signature opening, Power Retail’s Star Wars themed intro enthralled the crowd.
Entertainment for the evening included comedian Tom Gleeson who brought tears of laughter down faces, and our who’s who in Australian retail rocking the dance floor as well.
Power Retail’s publisher Grant Arnott took to the stage near the conclusion of the evening to announce the winners of this year’s All Star Bash.
“Now in its fifth year, the Power RetailE-Commerce Leaders’ Playbook Top 100 is the industry’s most comprehensive and respected annual ranking of Australia’s digital retailers, based on metrics including sales volume, site traffic, channel proliferation, and customer experience,” he said. “Once again, we would like to acknowledge all the retailers and industry professionals who have helped Power Retail in putting together this research. Their invaluable contribution has helped make this list into a resource that we hope plays a role in shaping the future of online retail in Australia.”
