Global sportswear company, BLK has launched a new consumer-facing website as it looks to expand its e-commerce footprint with a new B2C range.
Australian-based retailer, BLK has released its first consumer apparel range, marking its transition from only selling team wear and equipment to sporting teams and businesses to an e-commerce model that’s also targeted at the everyday customer.
As part of the business’s new focus, it has introduced three new collections for both men and women, as well as a comprehensive online store that comes with all the bells and whistles, including a partnership with buy now, pay later solution provider, Afterpay, and free shipping for orders over $99.
The Tek, Journey and Performance ranges reportedly encompass more than 100 individual designs and colours and have been designed with comfort and performance in mind.
According to BLK’s Head of Product and Innovation, Sunelia Casey, the new website and product range marks the beginning of the company’s exciting journey to transfer its “technology smarts” form team wear to consumer clothing.
“Technology has always been at the forefront of our team wear product designs, so it’s no surprise that commitment to innovation is at the heart of these new collections,” she said.
“BLK has long been considered a market leader when it comes to sportswear and we are excited to now offer even more people the chance to discover exactly why that is.”
While the sporting and apparel retailer has a new consumer-based focus, it will still be operating the B2B branch of its business. This includes a new partnership with Squash Australia for the supply of team uniforms until 2021, as well as a relationship with the Brisbane International and Australian Summer of Tennis.
“We’ve always provided athletes with the ability to perform at their physical best,” Casey said. “Now, thanks to our new consumer range, we’re ensuring people can look and feel their best off the field as well.”
