Homebodii Expands Internationally

Australian fashion brand, Homebodii is partnering with international retailer, Nordstrom in a bid to expand its international offerings. The Gold Coast-based brand, which specialises in bridal robes, sleepwear, and organic essentials, is planning on launching its product range with Nordstrom in time for Mother’s Day.

“We are experiencing the most rapid growth since I launched Homebodii in 2011. To attract the attention of such a prestigious retailer is beyond my wildest dreams,” says founder Ingrid Bonnor.

In a bid to expand its international presence, Homebodii joins with Nordstrom.

Bonnor recalls the early days of the brand’s inception, when Homebodii was operating out of a spare room, and later a small factory, before it moved into a bigger space as well as a new showroom.

The brand believes this move will help increase their strong presence in the US market, as Anthropologie, Revolve Clothing, White Runway and The Iconic already stocks its products.

“Homebodii’s collection is designed to make women feel beautiful and this range is no exception. We are thrilled to be bringing making our sleepwear, loungewear and bridal wear available to more women internationally,” says Ingrid.

This move comes less than one year since partnering with David Jones, which saw the company’s collections rolled out across 22 new stores. Homebodii has also said its partnership with David Jones allowed it to reach the top spot in sleepwear sales for the retailer over the 2017 Christmas period.

Homebodii is just one of many Australian brands entering the international e-commerce sphere, with a number of Australian brands having a large global presence. Big names like Cotton On, The Just Group, and Kikki.K already have a large presence in locations such as New Zealand, Singapore, and the UK, both physically and online, while youth wear brand, Tiger Mist has reportedly found e-commerce success in the US market.
