Showpo is celebrating its eighth birthday in style, by propelling its business to new heights with a new warehouse that’s equipped to store $1 million worth of stock.
To mark its eighth birthday, online fashion and apparel business, Showpo has opened a new warehouse that’s triple the size of its old one.
The company previously worked with an external provider to accommodate its warehouse, shipping and logistics services, but due to the business’s continued growth, Showpo has invested in its own warehouse facility.
With the capacity to store $1 million worth of stock, Showpo’s Founder and CEO, Jane Lu, says she’s excited to improve her customers’ journey thanks to the autonomy the new space provides.
“Our consumer touch points are so important to us. Every time we miss an opportunity to speak to them in our voice is a significant loss to the business and brand,” Lu says.
According to the young entrepreneur, opening a new warehouse was the next logical step in the company’s journey towards providing a complete, personalised experience for every customer.
“This allows us the ability to be agile within the fast-paced digital landscape and bring a whole new touch point to our customers, personalising the entire brand experience.”
From humble beginnings in her parent’s garage, Lu says she never imagined scaling her business to this level, in only eight short years.
“If I had imagined this space in the beginning, I don’t think I ever would have started,” she says, citing the vast difference from a small suburban garage and the new 4700sqm warehouse.
The new warehouse has been designed to suit the brand’s vibrant young team, featuring a basketball court and graffiti wall.
“It’s critical to us that our team culture transcends locations with teams outside of our Sydney HQ, offshore and our new warehouse.”
“We like to have some fun with it, now the entire Sydney HQ team wants to work from the warehouse!”
