Amazon’s process for delivering products and processing online returns in Australia is about to get a lot easier, with the business introducing its new click and collect and easy returns solution.
Amazon Australia has partnered with local after-hours logistics solution provider, ParcelPoint, to give local shoppers more options for collecting their online orders.
Amazon’s shoppers will now have access to ParcelPoint’s extended-hours parcel pickup and drop-off network, which includes more than 1300 locations across the country. Open weekends and evenings, shoppers will be able to collect their Amazon orders or process their online returns from participating petrol stations, pharmacies, convenience stores and shopping centres.
“Choice and convenience are important to Amazon customers. Through our work with the ParcelPoint network across Australia, Amazon customers can now pick up and return their eligible packages when and where they want, at their local store near home or work, and we couldn’t be more excited for the convenience this will bring to our customers,” Amazon Australia’s Director of Supply Chain and Transportation, Craig Fuller said in a statement.
To take advantage of Amazon’s convenient new delivery option, consumers can select their preferred Amazon pick-up location during the checkout process. If the customer is unhappy with their order when it arrives, they will also be able to return their goods by following the prompts in their Amazon account and taking the unwanted item/s to a ParcelPoint drop off point that’s convenient to them.
This is the first delivery solution Amazon has introduced in Australia since it launched free two-day delivery as part of its Prime membership in mid-2018. In the last six months, however, Amazon has added a number of new fulfilment options for US shoppers, including keyless garage, car and home delivery.
