Alibaba, Amazon, eBay – 2019 All Star Bash to Attract Industry Leaders

On Thursday night, the 2019 All Star Bash will see three of the world’s biggest online marketplaces gather at Margaret Court Arena, alongside many of Australia’s top online retailers.

Power Retail’s annual All Star Bash event, where the coveted list of Australia’s Top 100 Online Retailers and All Star Category Award winners are revealed, has officially sold out, with more than 550 guests set to attend the event.

Hosted by sporting broadcaster, Hamish McLachlan, The All Star Bash will see the likes of Woolworths, Coles, THE ICONIC, Myer, Target, Chemist Warehouse and Bunnings, to name a few, gather, for online retail’s night of nights.

Top 100 Online Retailers Revealed

As guests are wined and dined, McLachlan will announce the highly-anticipated 2019 Top Online Retailer and the winners of the event’s 19 award categories. With more awards up-for-grabs than ever before, a diverse group of retailers such as Birdsnest, Catch, Showpo and Flora & Fauna are all in the running to be recognised for their achievements in the Australian online sector.

With Woolworths taking out the top spot as Australia’s No. 1 Online Retailer in 2018, the industry is waiting with bated breath to see who will win this year.

This year’s list, however, has been compiled slightly differently to how it has been in the past. According to David Fear, Data Analyst at Power Retail, the updated list draws on the data-driven approach of 2018 but also includes additional measures that take into account multiple aspects of a retailer’s performance.

“This year we aim to incorporate world-class analytics to identify key metrics across the retail space, with the greatest depth of retailers being included in the rankings,” he says.

Some retailers in this year’s Top 100 will be familiar faces from previous years, while others will be recognised as part of the All Star Bash for the first time.

The All Star Bash will also mark the launch of the 2019 E-Commerce Leaders’ Playbook, which is the go-to guide for industry professionals looking to gain a competitive edge in the booming Australian e-commerce sector.

The online retail community has also shown phenomenal support for this year’s event, with Award Sponsors including Toll, Alibaba, eBay, Rakuten Marketing and Click Frenzy, as well as Zip, AfterPay, Openpay and Fluent Commerce. Marketplacer, Shopback, dotdigital, Online Retailer, Return Path, Retail Global, Retail Learning Channel, Big Commerce and Magento are also sponsoring awards in categories ranging from Top Social Retailer to Top Native App.
